Muddy's Bake Shop offers super fun cookie & cupcake decorating "party packages" and event room rentals. The event room is also the HQ of Muddy's founder Kat Gordon's hands-on baking classes, offered under the name "the Homemade Kitchen".

Make yourself at home and take a look around! Our space has lots of flex and easily adjusts for small groups, larger ones, parties, classes, etc.

Setting You Up for Success

Hands-on baking classes are taught by a lead instructor + a teaching assistant. Demo space is visible AND accessible to students.

Demo Area

Instructor's workspace mimics the students'-- we give thorough directions in real time and students have plenty of opportunity to ask questions!

Common Event Questions

Do you offer kids' parties?

Yes! Our cookie & cupcake decorating parties are lots of fun for participants age 8+ (sometimes younger, if it's a small group).

How many people can the event room accommodate for a private booking?

Our room is very flexible for a variety of needs. The information below is "ballpark" as capacity involves multiple variables.

  • Party packages/cupcake decorating: up to 30 seated participants
  • Meetings and room rentals: up to 18 if everyone is around "one big table"; up to 30 if everyone is seated in small group tables
  • Kat's Baking Classes: varies by recipe, but typically best for groups of 8-12. More info here.

What is your refund/cancellation policy for events?

Ticket sales for public classes are final and nonrefundable, however you are welcome to sell or gift your ticket to someone else if you are no longer able to attend.

Private event bookings canceled at least 5 days in advance will be refunded minus the booking deposit.

What are my responsibilities as an event host?

Primarily, your responsibility is to ensure that those in your group follow our conduct guidelines, treat the room & equipment with care, and treat our employees with respect.
